Kopi Tubruk

Belakangan, saya menghindari kopi campur sachet (kopi instan), baik itu kopi hitam atau pun putih. Saya beralih ke kopi tradisional, kopi tubruk hitam, kental plus sedikit gula. Jadi kopi saya cenderung pahit.

Dulu, pilihan saya selalu kopi instan sachet tanpa ampas. Preferensi ini kemudian berubah, setelah suatu sore saya bertemu salah satu klien, seorang pencinta kopi dan pemilik coffee shop di bilangan Pluit. Sambil menikmati espressonya, dia bercerita banyak tentang kopi. Bagaimana espresso dan latte yang sedang kami nikmati sampai ke penikmat kopi.

Saya tertegun ketika lelaki muda berwajah oriental ini bilang, kalau kopi sachet campur yang rutin saya minum itu ternyata bukan kopi, melainkan sari kopi, esen kopi. Menurutnya, setelah kita minum kopi, dan kemudian air seni yang kita keluarkan berbau sama persis dengan aroma kopi yang kita minum, bisa dipastikan bahwa itu bukan kopi asli, hanya sari kopi. Kopi asli tidak akan menyebabkan air seni kita berbau kopi.

Sejak sore itu, saya berhenti minum kopi instan sachet, dan hanya minun kopi tradisional, kopi tubruk hitam kental dengan sedikit gula, ketika di rumah atau di kantor. Di coffee shop, pilihan saya tetap latte.
